Over a hundred people enjoyed an evening of celebration marking the 70th Anniversary of the Moncada uprising, at the Steelworkers Hall in Toronto on Saturday. This event featured the Cassava Latin Band Group, the Jose Carret Dance Group, a delicious dinner. Cuban Consul in Toronto, Sabdiel Lafarue Moeno, brought greetings and historical information of the importance of July 26, 1953.
The very successful event was organized by the Association of Cubans in Toronto, the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association Toronto, and the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network.
