CCFA Toronto proudly endorses the 77 Years of Nakba rally on Saturday, May 17th at 2pm, taking place at Yonge-Dundas Square. The rally is hosted by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) @pymtoronto
The Nakba, which means “catastrophe” in Arabic, refers to the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians which started in 1948, and is still ongoing to the day.
Cuba has always expressed unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle, recognizing it as a just fight against colonial oppression and apartheid. The imperialist forces that besieged Cuba for decades through the economic blockade and aggression are the same forces that enable Israel’s occupation and violence against Palestinian people. For us at CCFA Toronto, supporting Palestine is a moral duty as part of our work of resistance against global domination of imperialism.
